The January 2005 edition. The big news for this newsletter is that a new book is just about out. A MOST UNSUITABLE MAN will be on shelves any day. Excellent reviews are coming in and they seem to pick up on the rich Georgian action and adventure of this book. I hope you'll enjoy another visit to the Malloren World. There are two excerpts up now. You can read the first by clicking here. If you've already read that one, the second is here As a side bar to the second excerpt I've included a portrait from the 1760s and how it influenced me. What am I working on? Still Simon St. Bride's story, but I've suddenly realized that Hal Beaumont should be in it, returning reluctantly to Canada for a short visit and becoming tangled in Simon's very tangled affairs. So those of you who've been asking for more about Hal and Blanche, it looks like you'll get your wish. Then, as it will be late in 1816 when Simon, Jancy, and Hal make it back to England there'll be time for more Rogues to get involved. If you're new to my books and want to know more about the Rogues, go here. Also, for those of you who enjoyed my SF novella "The Trouble With Heroes...." it's a finalist for the Sapphire Award for SF Romance. Check out the other finalists here I've brought my appearances page up to date for 2005, so check it out, especially if you're anywhere near Seaside, Oregon, because I'll be there on February 4th. Click to go to the page. All best wishes, Jo If you wish to receive this newsletter by e-mail subscribe to Jo Beverley's newsletter list by sending your e-mail address here.
